    I have taken Tamoxifen (Nolvadex) and am a fan of Tamoxifen. I read that Tamoxifen is a SERM (Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulator) but I also read about other drugs like Tamoxifen and Nolvadex, which have different mechanisms of action. I am curious about the reasons that Tamoxifen and Nolvadex are different in their effectiveness. For example, Tamoxifen has an effect on the brain and can be used in the treatment of breast cancer. Tamoxifen works by blocking estrogen receptors on a receptor cell and this receptor is then activated. The effect of Tamoxifen on the brain is much smaller than the effect on the body. I am interested in knowing how the other two SERMs work and when to apply them. Does it work for people who have other issues with estrogen or do they use Tamoxifen to reduce estrogen levels? Or is it simply a good idea to take the same drugs?
